Nice one, Cristóbal. Mysterious. I'd guess it's an artist's interpretation of a vase with flowers. Nice art, nice picture.

Thanks Tom. My wife and I bought the vase at an art show some years ago, we also had the metal "twigs" and I thought they would go well together, so I bent them to fit the vase at an appropriate height. I like the result...

Interesting question. I never add borders to my images but when I print, I always use a white matte and black frame. Now I suppose I could add both to my images online, but somehow it seems tacky, especially the frame. But I'm not bothered by the border here. I guess my question for @Cornflake is, if you printed it, would you use a black matte? No matte at all? Why does the border bother you?

I should have explained, Richard. The very high contrast at the edges is an eye magnet. It keeps drawing my attention away from the subtleties of the "twig," which I think would emerge more without the competition. I'd use a white mat if I printed it. That may seem inconsistent but maybe it's the black background here (for me) that accentuates the border so much.

Very nice! I could go with black, or white mat, but I would use a blue core mat, to bring out the subtle blue tones of the steel.
