strategy for selecting 200 photos for printing

I have a Power plan and my wife would like to purchase prints of about 200 photos.

To facilitate things, I have created a smart gallery based on criteria that limits the images to ones that she'll want to choose from.

It is going to take a while to go through that smart gallery and mark the ones she wishes to have printed. I am concerned that the shopping cart will not persist across the days it will take to choose the 200 or so photos.

So, I have two questions:
1. Will the shopping cart persist? What if she closes the browser window?

  1. Is there another strategy she can use to make sure she can select the 200 photos over the course of a week or so?

Thanks.

If she's using your computer and you're logged into SmugMug, you could have her Collect the photos into a gallery just for her to print.

Otherwise the cart should persist but certain conditions and browsers sometimes do weird things and I'd hate for all her work to be lost.

    Thanks for the reply.

If she collects them into a gallery, can she select the entire gallery to print or does she have to go through the tedious process of selecting each image in turn and selecting the size, etc., as she seems to have to do when she’s choosing from a subset of a gallery?

OK. I tried this out. Since I had never actually tried Collecting images before, I watched the video at https://www.mamboupload.com/kb/how-to-share-smugmug-gallery-or-slideshow/.

The first method, of selecting multiple photos in the Organizer and then dragging to the target gallery worked fine.

The second method shown, using the Share button in a gallery, did NOT work. When I clicked on the Share button while viewing an image in the Lightbox, what popped up did NOT have an option to collect. (see screenshot)

When viewing an individual photo the collect option is offered under “tools”, however, if you want to collect several images the method you described is more effective.

When in the collected gallery, at the top should be a buy button. Choose "Photos from This Gallery". She can then click "Select All" and choose the product:
