This Family came to visit in June and hung around for a couple of weeks. They spent most of the time in the heavy woods, but ventured out occasionally.

Thanks Taz. These are pretty regular visitors, we also get the occasional Bear, Bobcat, and Owls, and one Cougar.

You must be one happy man with visitors in your backyard like this :) Great captures, #2 and #4 are awesome.

Thanks guys. I have been fortunate to call the Pacific Northwest my home, for the majority of my life.

Are these mule deer? I have seen those in Colorado.

These are Columbia Blacktail. Mule deer are a sub genesis of Blacktail.

Very nice work, Phil. About the only wildlife I see in my backyard ( aside from racoons, rabbits and such ) are some coyotes. The damn things have taken to eating some of the neighborhood cats. Because my place is surrounded by heavy woods, and if I am extra careful, the local law says they won't get after me if I start shooting them. Lock and load....here I come.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Tom, we have a severe rabbit issue. I think the Coyotes, have taken to going after small dogs and cats, because they don't have the natural instinct, or fear of the coyotes, and are much easier prey.
