    Small chapel in my village.

Side chapel in the Roman Catholic Cathedral of St Andrews (Glasgow) with a painting by Peter Howsom of John Ogilvie (a Roman Catholic martyr) being hanged.
According to the lady who spoke to us when we entered the church it's one of the main attractions why people visit this Cathedral.
But I can assure you the whole Cathedral is very nice and certainly worth a visit if you're in the neighbourhood

A very small protestant church in Liege, Belgium

Belgium is probably > 90% Roman catholic, so other churches are usually small and uncommon.

Thanks for sharing those Sara, glad they're working hard to restore this beautiful monument.

Here's another one in it's full glory (in 2006), I hope to see it like that again one day.

    Me too!

...although I must say Notre Dame is not my very favorite of the French cathedrals. Over the years I've visited many cathedrals and always found Notre Dame de Paris a little on the dark side. Hard to say which is my very favorite - perhaps Amiens simply because of the immense sense of space or Chartre or Reims for the windows. And I find Auxerre to be pretty special as well. At any rate, I can't wait to see ND Paris restored to its former glory so I can pay her another visit.
