    @torags ,

    Thank you. I'm pretty sure that the taken at the 2012 exhibit announced in this press release: https://sfmoma.org/press/release/sfmoma-presents-south-africa-in-apartheid-and-aft/. However, my memory is nothing if not fallible. Happy Holidays,

    Yes, looks like the SFMOMA to me. Nice symmetry. Is it my imagination or is there a slight divergence on the doorway edges? Was that real or is it some sort of lens distortion?

    @Richard ,

    I hadn't notice it until now, and I don't know which it was. I think it should be straightened up. Do you agree?

    Hmmm....looking at it again, I'm wondering whether it's an illusion caused by the ceiling pattern. Something I decided long ago is that it's more important that something look straight than that it actually is straight. I'd play around with it in LR to see whether adjusting helps or hurts.

    I think it gives a nice subtle touch to the photo, whether that divergence is real or caused by distortion - especially because there are other lines at top that lead in the different direction of the doorway's edges. Also, I like the overall composition and the great contrast the lady in red provides. Good shot.

    Maybe, but just maybe, the pic could benefit from some keystone compensation/correction.

    @kurzvorzwoelf and @Richard,

    Thanks for the comments and suggestions. I applied Develop > Transform > Auto to see if LR detected a problem, and it did. LR straightened the right edge of the opening, which the grid showed to be leaning. So far as I can tell the left edge didn't change, so it seems to have been a keystone issue. Here's the result:

    It still looks a little wider at the top than the bottom, but I'm disinclined to do more. What do you think, does it look straight enough?

    Glad you enjoy the picture.

    It looks a bit better. I would just leave it that way, but it's up to you whether you want to muck with it some more.

    Ooops... the DeYoung has similar window wells... (I was a member of both & forgot the MOMA windows)...

    I like the image. Anytime I see a photo taken in a museum I tend to think of this photo.

    "A photo is like a hamburger. You can get one from McDonalds for $1, one from Chili's for $5, or one from Ruth's Chris for $15. You usually get what you pay for, but don't expect a Ruth's Chris burger at a McDonalds price, if you want that, go cook it yourself." - me

    It's one of Erwitt's best, I think. I have wondered a bit whether it was staged (some of his stuff was), but in the end, the image speaks for itself.
