It's an interesting shot, Don, but I had no idea what a totem pole cactus is and I'm still not sure. Have you got a full shot of one?

It's interesting, but I'm not bonding with it. The shadow in the highlight area bothers me, also the shallow DOF of the darker area... I don't know, I can see why you wanted to shoot it though.
