Burial ground

A neighborhood church has an area where the ashes of the dead are interred and plaques on the wall identify those whose ashes rest there. There must be a generic name for such a place but I don't know it.

The third shot is pretty self-explanatory. Incidently, I don't know what the name for such a facility is either. The other 3 shots are quite mysterious, particularly the first one.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Thanks for the comment, Tom. I wanted a mysterious feel.

First one is really funky and cool and mysterious!
Second one is nice, easy one I think.
Third one I am not getting it.
Fourth one, if mine, I would brighten the eyes some, just to add bit spooky factor and to draw attention more and create little bit of funkiness.

Thanks for the critique, Taz. I actually darkened the eyes in the fourth one so the viewer would see the hand first and the face second.

FYI, it's officially called a Columbarium. I like 1 and 4 the best. Nice work!

Sara, Cristobal, thanks. I thought that in a columbarium the ashes were placed in a wall, which these aren't, but the term must be broader than I thought.

I like image #4...nice work with the lighting and effect.

Letting my imagination wander...image #1 looks like an enlargement of a microscopic view or hair follicles.

    I like your BW work!
