Courting Black Necked Stilts
As I sat quietly on the bank of the pond, these Black Necked Stilts began a brief courtship.
It began with a beak swish in the water mirrored by the other. A slight bump from the side and the game is on.
After their even briefer encounter, the "Cross Beak tango" begins. This was quite a treat to witness.
I hope you enjoy these as much as I did taking them.

Wonderful series. And being that there is no break (carriage return) between the photos, it helps tell the story.

Lovely set of images. I especially like the lighting in the last 4 images - better lighting on the side of the faces facing the viewer.
The first two images the faces facing the viewer are in the shade just a touch.
If they were my images, I_** might**_ try adding just a little raising of the shadow tones on the the portion of the shaded faces, to see the eye detail just a wee bit better in the first two images.
