Private album images not showing

A few days ago I found out that photos in my private albums are not displaying, I get missing photo (blue question mark) icons instead of my photos, even when I access these albums while logged in. When updating the album privacy setting from "Private" to "Unlisted", the images again display as expected.

Is this a known issue and is there a way I can resolve it?

Thanks @denisegoldberg . I did so and the issue seems to be caused by 3rd party cookies blocking. I'm not 100% sure, but the issue may have been introduced with the latest version of Safari, which blocks 3rd party cookies by default (as do increasingly many browsers nowadays). This thread can be closed in my opinion, but may perhaps yield a feature request to make private galleries less dependent on 3rd party cookies.

I see the same problem in my Big Sur Safari browser. Firefox is fine. Did they give you a suggestion how to work around this in Safari? Special setting?
