    Gracias all.

What caught my eye first was the steel silo.

I have been on a silo kick for a while.

Nice shot, buddy. Sad commentary, but true.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

    Gracias all.

I had to petition my wife to stop for a foto here as she is too used to stopping for a foto.

I love images of barns and silos too. We still have some old wood barns remaining in Indiana.

The light in your image is soft and a bit flat in this frame, so B&W conversion might not work - but do you think the color is really an important part of this image?

I might consider converting this image to monochrome, or returning to shoot it in more dramatic light at some time if I had the opportunity.

This was a rainy overcast New England day with flat, soft light. It adds to the somber mood/subject .

This is two hours from my house so I won't be returning soon.

    Vermont barns are red. B)

Willard, a little late to the conversation...

Very nice composition and image that conveys a story. Kudos for demonstrating that even a rainy, overcast, flat-sky day can yield good results!

    Well done.
