We get this species in our garden each year, often resting on the ground in daytime. This one was on a leaf of a grape vine which had been allowed to rampage upwards over the branches of overhanging trees.
The moth was about 7 feet of the ground I found a garden stool and stood on it to take me almost up to that level.
There was lots of green being reflected off surrounding leaves which I have not tried to correct. It was in quite deep shade on a cloudy afternoon.
Olympus EM-1 (aperture priority), Olympus 4/3 x2 TC, Olympus 4/3 50mm f2 macro, 1/50 at f8 ISO 3200, hand-held.
The stereos are crosseye. The first image is cropped.

Today, two days later, I saw another one, this time on a sunlit vine leaf.
I got one shot then it flew off. The image wasn't sharp enough to upload but it was clearly a different individual, with paler marking and no pale smudges on the wings.
Maybe I will find a third one soon.
