Whatsapp or Facebook Messenger integration?

Is there any way to add a messaging box to my website that pops up? It would appear it is possible with square space, using wordpress, etc. Just curious if anyone has played around with this.

Most of those options require the use of an iframe or javascript, both of which are not permitted on the site as they tend to break things.
