Great Blue Heron

We had a surprise guest land on one of our antique implements and I just had to get some photos of it. The implements used to be on dry land but over the last few years water levels have risen on the slough and only now are the returning to normal. The Heron standing on the rake makes for an interesting photo I thought, certainly not the normal situation although I have seen these birds standing high up in trees and that looks rather odd as well.

Love the second shot of the GBH but the duck in the BG kinda photobombed it. The comp of the GBH perfectly fits the farm equipment's shape. The third solves the ducky BG.
