Private / Unlisted gallery link share shows website name / password and not thumbnail / gallery name

I like to use my Smugmug account to post private family and other galleries. When I text or share the link to these galleries they don't show the thumbnail or name of the gallery. They instead display the main web address of my site and the word password. It gets confusing when I send multiple links and they all show up the same with no description. Sharing my public galleries works fine displaying a large thumbnail and the gallery name.

Is there a way for a text share to display the name of the gallery and show a thumbnail but still be password protected?
