wwmx and smugmug maps

Hi all,

I successfully used WWMX (www.wwmx.org) to geocode a set of photos. I then uploaded them to my smugmug site. When I tried to 'edit map info' on one of the photos, the latitude and longitude appeared correct, and I then hit 'update' on that photo. For some reason only the photos in which I manually went on the smugmug site and hit 'update' showed up in the maps.smugmug.com view. Do you have to do that for every photo even though it seems that the latitude and longitude are already there?

thanks.

wave.gif Hi sri, welcome to dgrin! Check out this SmugBlog entry there's some info on wwmx. I think it's a matter of setting it properly ....

If you can point us to a gallery / pics in question I can dig further.

    All the best,

I use WWMX Location Stamper 2.0 all the time without problem.

I always select Map > Show Deg\Min\Sec Position though. Maybe give that a try.

I'm also using it without any problems that I'm aware of. You should check that geotagging is enabled in your album before uploading pictures to it.

Yet another free geo stamping tool
Perl-based ExifTool is free, fresh (last updated just a few days ago) and has a command-line utility that supports a wide variety of file formats (includes jpeg, tiff, cr2, nef, etc.).
