Is there any way to link to a photo in smugmug without revealing the homepage it resides on in the link itself?

    Yes. Gallery Tools>Customize Gallery>Hide Owner=Yes

    The link looks like this:
    http://www.smugmug.com/photos/51288696-L.jpg

Here's an example link to click on
    Link to my photo

Here it is embedded in a post:

Your link will look like this when you click "share photo":

I hope this helps :D Holler back if I can help further.

Nope - hide owner does exactly that.

no breadcrumb, and no name in the url:
    http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/1102707

    Hope this helps!

Ok, one last question. If i hide the owner on a gallery, then link to a photo w/ the "hidden" url and then later on decide to unhide the owner on the gallery, will the links be broken?

Ok, i lied. One more question. rolleyes1.gif

If this is possible, then why not just offer both options when one is choosing to share photos? In other words, why not offer hidden links and non-hidden links on the share photos page? Then the user can choose which one to use when they want to share a photo. Just a thought.

That's s very good idea. Give us the option on a per photo basis.

You can suggest it in the Features request thread - but there are many things inline ahead of this...

    Thanks guys!
