Images not right click protected!!!

I noticed that if I right click on a picture in my gallery I get the copyright message. If I left click on an image and it opens in another windows. The image in the new window is not right click protected. I get presented with the option to download the image.

I even checked it on Andy's site and it's the same way.

I thought we were supposted to be protected???

    Wow this seems to be coming up a lot lately. If you actually save that image you'll see it's a .gif of nothing (i.e. not a real image).

    Please, before we all get excited about this - *look* at the file you can drag off your desktop (Mac) or right click save - it's called spacer.gif and it's indeed, a blank file. Well technically not blank, I think it's 1x1 pixel.

    I do have ONE gallery on my site that I've left open to the public, my SmugMug's Eye On NYC Gallery.
