I know these are not as interesting as some of the shots in Andy's gallery but I liked his stuff so much that I went on a quest to get the ability to take them myself today.

I had to go out and use the filter when I got it, just to try it out.

    Wow, i wouldn't say you're new to this; looks great! I like this one the best..the whites work the best in my opinion with a real black part to balance it. Nice!

    happy you got inspired by my stuff :D

    was it very sunny? looks like more overcast, eh? with ir, you've gotta really take advantage of midday, full sun when you find it. i find those to be optimal conditions.

    what filter are you using, and what camera / setup?

    It was kind of cloudy with patchy sun, I just had to get out and try it.

    I used a cokin 89B gelatin filter (P007 is their number) on a sigma 28-80 mm lens. The were all shot with my D100. I was surprised to find that the camera's meter was accurate and that the autofocus worked even with the filter on. I couldn't see through it but the camera could.
