Macro to micro

Not satisfied with getting as close as 0.4 inches for macros with my Nikon E5400, I've tried using a low-power objective lens off my Meade 4-inch reflecting telescope. With also needing sufficient light, I've attached optical fibers to a three-LED Eddie Bauer flashlight.

Attached is the setup. The tiny red spot on the stage between the optical fiber ends is a spider mite. I'll show that in the next thread, seeing how I can only attach one shot at a time.

I don't know any good links and such, but I think you should check out extension rings.

    Extension rings
There are a couple out for my camera, but I don't like the thumb screws. They can mar the lens tube and cause uneven stresses which might even cause changes to the optical mounts; I've made my own with PVC piping shimmed to grab just right (Nikon E5400s don't have threads, you know) for using some Quantaray lenses to add extra tele and wide angles.

    Thanks for your input,though!
