When you need to create a photo slideshow on DVD that needs to be as 'professional' as you can make it, what tool/software do you use?

There are several other threads on Dgrin about this subject.
    Here is one:

Sometimes the search here is rather quirky. When I typed in just slideshow I got a ton of post about slideshows on Smugmug, so I typed in Slideshow Software and bingo. Gotta give it what it wants.

Well after downloading a number of trial versions and testing them I decided on "ProShow Gold". It does a great job and was faster than anything else I tried or already had (VideoWave, XATShow).

When you have over 700 photos and 50 minutes of audio it takes a solid software package to handle it.

There are couple helpful groups on ProShow

    Forum (offshoot from Yahoo Group)

    Yahoo Group

Very talented people in both places. They are willing to share new ideas and help with any questions. Some of the tricks they come up with to use in PSG are amazing.

You will learn a lot from them! My own shows, well I don't consider them masterpieces, but I have learned a lot from those two places alone.
I've done 3 wedding shows where I shot and a few personal type shows and love it.

BTW! This is exciting. Normal, Illinois!!!!!! Your not to far from me. I'm near New Harmony, IN. There is another Dgrinner on here around St Louis. It would be nice if we could organize a shoot-together.
