Alaska in the Wintertime

I took a trip to a place called Whittier where I go every year but have never been in the wintertime. It was a solo trip where I skiied up to our cabin and came back the next day. The mountains looked beautiful so I thought I would share some.

You can see more peak pictures here:

A cabin that is not ours and not fairing so well.

And Now for some peaks.

An APU student fell through the snow near the summit of this peak and was killed a few years ago...quite unfortunate.

Whittier. Isn't that the town that has a huge (and empty) apartment complex
in it--next to the tunnel? I digress.

Cool pictures of a great place. Looking back toward Girdwood sure is pretty
    in the winter.

The large apartment complex is actually not empty. It has 98% of the towns population living in it.
