Importing Smugmug RSS into a movabletype blog.

GarethLewinGarethLewin Registered Users Posts: 95 Big grins
Hi.

I know this isn't a smugmug specific question, but I'm hoping someone here has already done this, before I go trying to work out how movable type works.

I want to basically have my blog agregate the smugmug rss feed (my root one), so that people that read my webpage, or consume my blog's rss will get notified of updates to my galleries.

Any help would be great.

    Using smugmug RSS feeds
If you want to just show the titles of the feeds, you can use Feed2JS
    http://jade.mcli.dist.maricopa.edu/feed/
either as a program (install it on your own site) or as a service (just embed the right HTML code in your blog template)

If you also want to show the images, you can take advantage of the fact that Smugmug RSS feeds are photofeed compatible:
    http://photofeed.forret.com/photofeed/smugmug.php

and you can use the Photoroll service to show the images in your sidebar or header:
    http://photofeed.forret.com/
this is also a service: you will be able to generate a piece of HTML code and you copy/paste it into your blog template in the right place

Can you give a more detailed description of how to set up the photofeed? I can't seem to get it to display any photos...
