Does anyone know if a final tutorial was ever written for creating vanity urls?

This thread was very intriguing to me, but it wandered all over the place as far as what worked and what didn't. Someone mentioned towards the end of the thread that a tutorial was in the works.
I'd really like to implement this, but I want to make sure I'm using the latest and greatest code.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
