Not the shot so much but what the bird is, Eurasian Collared-Dove, which are not suppose to be in Ohio. Long and short of it I sent the shot to Jim at DNR and almost immedatly go a call... Seems there have only been two suspected sightings in Ohio but with this picture it is the first confirmed. Ok fine. However now DNR will be here tomorrow (like I can say for sure bird will show up) and they want to talk to me about allowing some birders here to see it or watch for it or what ever the heck they do.

Anyway here is the guy causing all the fuss

Thanks Troy..DNR is short for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources which includes the Ohio Divison of Wildlife which Jim is with. I am tied in with them as a volunteer because I have Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education pemits..The 50 cent explanation:D

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks Harry..Huh money has already been mentioned but not by me, as in donations, which we legally can except. BUT if someone did donate and then the bird didn't show ( quite likely) I would feel like a s--tne_nau.gif

Thanks Cookie. The ring is pretty much the same as the one on the Ringed T-Dove, a domestic raised bird, that does now and again escape. The primaries (color), size etc. are quite different.
