Hi,

We tend only to think of chives as a nice herb mixed with potatoe salad, however they are lovely when they flower. Comments and critiques welcome.

Hi, this was taken with a Canon 20D and the EF-S 60mm macro lens, I've tweaked the saturation and black levels.

Very nice work. I like the bud along with the flower; the combination is appealing. I also like the "softness" of the entire composition. Good job.

Thanks for your comments, I was pleased with the way the narrow depth of field produced such a lovely softness, I also hadn't noticed till I processed the image that the outer part of the bud was translucent, what puzzles me is where the yellow/orange halo around the bud comes from?
