Imagine my surprise when this fellow stopped by. We don't see many herons around here

20d, 400mm (and a bunch of cropping)

Not too shabby Rich, a black-crowned night heron. thumb.gif I hadn't seen too many night herons around here until they started to hang out in the stream behind my back yard. :D

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Well done Rich. You just need to go back and grab a seat in your living room and open the patio door. These herons will just walk in and then you can snap their pic with a 50mm. eek7.gif:D Well...that's how I do it at my place. rolleyes1.gif
