Whew! almost a lawn mowing tragedy Part 2 of 2.

These are the rest of the photos I took after accidently uncovering a bunnie nest while mowing the yard today.
Nest was recovered and standing grass around it was left unmowed.
I will be enjoying watching these little ones grow and explore the yard.

    Unfortunately I've had THAT lawn mower accident one too many times. I'm glad you realized it before it was too late. They are precious!

    My dog thinks so. We caught her defurring one in the back yard shortly after we moved into the house. It was a bit larger than these though.

    It's about 2.5 - 3 " deep and about 5 " across. I believe that they are Eastern Cottontails. Yes, they are edible-but a lot of folks won't eat them in summer only winter.
