Don't give smugmug any more reasons to drag their feet. That's a workaround and only covers the payment part. You still have to deliver the file. Which reminds me, I have some suggestions I need to make in lieu of having dd capability...

You can set prices for three different resolutions (1 megapxiel, 4 megapixels and original). Then for each resolution, you can offer a personal use license price and a commercial use license price. That's a total of 3x2=6 different pricing options. Presumably, you can enter a zero price for any of the six options if you don't want to offer that combo. Seems well thought through. Here's what it looks like on the pricing screen:

I did buy one of my own photos to test the whole "selling download" process and it looks like even though I bought the small size the download was made for the original size. Just in case I set up prices only for original size at this point... Can you please double check about the download for smaller sizes ?

Are there plans from SmugMug to have a help session for customers who are going to buy Downloads or other products ? Sometimes they get lost on the many options the system offers... And some of the customers are not as much friends of technology as we are...

Correct. By default, downloads are NOT available. You must price them to activate them.
