Now that is one fine shot, Troy. thumb.gif

Care to share your editing technique.....workflow.

I know a tack sharp image is the first step.....but let's assume I get one of those some day! :D Then what?

lol, "workflow" you got to be kidding me! My idea of workflow means deleting any image that needs more than basic post processing.....

But since you asked nicely, I wil share my "secrets" .

1st - run image through trial version of Neat Image
2nd - sharpen eye with old version of paint shop pro
3rd - clone out defects / dust bunnies with same program
4th - ask 8 year old daughter if it looks better or worse than original
final step - upload to smugmug and finish beer while uploading

Please feel free to adopt any or all my "secret techniques"...

    thanx Ric!!!!!

Just a gorgeous shot! clap.gif And the workflow shows you're quite the serious photographer! I'll take an 8-year old's opinion any day of the week.

    Which one?

The rest is about what I do....only 35% shakey hands. (I drank way too much when I was younger)

all of my birdies are always with the Canon 400 f/5.6 until CANON DECIDES TO RELEASE A NEW 100-400 L or 400 f/5.6 with IS.

I envy that shot. Great composition, no distractors or anything just a beautiful male cardinal. We have quite a few cardinals around here but I never can get a shot of one. Plus I need more reach on my lens!

    Great stuff again.

Edit: Any "workflow" that includes beer has got to be good. 1drink.gif
