Minnehaha Falls

In Minneapolis, there is Minnehaha Park. Inside the park, there is a 53 foot water fall.

I am so proud of this pic. I forgot the tripod at home. I was out taking pics with my new Canon 28-135 IS lens.

ISO 100, Shutter 3 sec. (yes, that 3.0 seconds) Aperture F11
I was hanging on to a fence post, but a 3 sec hand held shot is something to
be proud of. (at least I think it is):wink

Note the red blur at the bottom left, that's a kid running through the pic.

Davev, that is one sweet picture, looks better then any postcard I have seen of the falls. When I was younger, used to climb behind the falls. I have lots of pictures of Minnehaha, but nothing nearly as good as yours, but I will show a picture of the river...

    Thanks for the replies.
Joel, what river is the pic of? Is it the creek that runs to the falls?
I think you could make a great fall color picture
from the same spot. (I like this shot also.)

    Happy Thanksgiving. dave v

    Hi Dave,

My picture was taken at the lower portion of the park, its the Minnehaha Creek about half way between the falls and where Minnehaha meets the Mississippi. Again, I have taken dozens of pictures of the falls, but none as good as yours, very nice...

Looking forward to visiting the park this winter, incredible shots of the falls then.

    Joel
