Mac Safari and Digital Grin

I wasn't sure where to post this so I'll try it here. I've just moved to the Mac platform and I am trying to get used to the Mac way. I have aquestion regarding Safari use here on DG.

Whenever I click on a picture to expand it's frame it expands as it should, however whenever I click on the expanded frame to contract the picture the picture offsets to the lower right of my screen. I have to refresh the page to get the picture back where it belongs. This doesn't happen with Firefox.

Do I have something set wrong or is this just how Safari works. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Expand the frame

- can you give me a thread link for example so I can check what you are referring to? Thanks

I've had that problem on dpreview with Safari, but as Andy said, I've never seen expanding frames on dgrin.

Are you referring to a browser's "fit to screen" setting, where large photos are automatically shrunk to fit your screen, until you click on them to expand them?

And then shrink again, when you click on them a second time?

Perhaps I am not being too clear. Often the photos attached to a thread are smaller and seem to be in sort of a "frame" and when you click on them they expand in size. With my Wintel machines and Firefox on the Mac Pro a second click on the photo will return it to the smaler size in place as it wa before "expanding."

with Safari when I make the second click on the photo the image drops to the lower right side of my screen insteda of contracting to its previous size.

Well I just went to find an example and I can't but I can find one on DPreview, DOH!! I must have my forums mixed up. Sorry all. But if you know what I am talking about and can still answer the question I would appreciate it.

Yeah, that's a DPReview thing, their forum software blows.

why the move to mac? did you fall down and hurt yourself....finding that you can only use a mac while you nurse yourself back to full health and the ability to use a PC again?

Yes, this is Digital Grin. You'll want to ask your question regarding Dpreview's forum software, here:

And, Safari isn't very compatible with Dpreview's software. But Firefox works a treat!
