I can't believe it. Below is the winning picture. It's of my baby cousin Fate. It will be used in a photo project for QVC early next year. I'm so stunned. And I'm so glad I got into this crazy world of photography.

    She has loads of appeal, it's a very likeable image, right down to the freckle on her nose. Congratulations on winning... Don't forget to pay the model :D

    Thanks to everyone for your kind words. And, yes, I will be "paid" for this somehow (the details I still don't know.) But what's great is that after the photo project has been created - and I still honestly don't know what they'll use the photo for - the company will be giving me the project and I'll then pass it on to my aunt.

    What a killer shot you got there! The lighting got my attention quite fast, as well as the nice gradation of tones... It somehow looks like that old thing called *filmme*.

    Also, your baby cousin is the cutest!
