I feel Soooo stoopid, because I have JUST DONE THIS about an hour ago, but since then have been trying to work out how I did it!

I looked in the control panel, I looked in the drop downs...aaagh! Where has the control for allowing me to create new categories gone???:dunno

BTW I created a new category 'Black and White' and now am trying to create one 'Colour"

    DOH!

    I got it!

It's 'New gallery' >drop down> create new category

I didn't see it because I forgot that the 'create new gallery' was ON the drop down

    DOH!

Well I had that figured but phase two of my fiendish plan has hit a brick wall

Here's what Im trying to do:

ON home page IN the Colour and the Black and White categories I have created, I want to put sub categories e.g landscape , in both

Im sure I remember seeing create subcategory somewhere but once ahgin I have lost it

Id never make a good rat I'd get lost in the maze at first turn!

Go to your Customize page, then under Organize and Customize you'll see entries for both Categories and Sub-Categories. You can do everything from there.

    Hope this helps!

thanks Steve Im trying to work it out but still can't see how to do it because the home page doesnt have a customise button

Also I wish the category button on the pages that do have customize was in the right hierarchy , I find it confusing that it comes second to the gallery title, when IRL the gallery (with title is IN the category surely, or am I confused about that as well?
