Taken last night at the back door of the Sottile Theater, before shooting the ballet rehearsal, shadows and all. Downtown Charleston, across a parking lot.

I barely got the lens on. The sunset had been brighter, I put the lens on, it was going, I took a few photos, and the sunset was gone.

Actually the ballet shots were at 1600 ISO, I am pretty sure this was 400 at the most. Will check. Auto focus, I know that. We were trying to get inside, I just decided to take a sec.

g (grain doesn't bother me, soft does.)

This was taken right after the one above. The last one was this. It is not soft, but it is grainy. 1600 ISO, 1/10 of a sec, but I looked at it pretty closely I don't think it is soft, just grainy. I only did the minimum of levels and upped the saturation a bit, saved it and brought it down here: didn't want to do more afraid of increasing the grain. My neat image doesn't work anymore, and it appears I will have to buy it for it to work. Other suggestions appreciated.

Thanks Gubbs for your response on the batteries. I know what I want, and I do want extra, but my son doesn't want me to buy anything with Christmas coming up, so I started a wish list at B&H. Laughing.gif , Do you think I should put a 20D, or other Camera upgrade on the list?
