I went to a Mexican Charreria/Fiesta on Saturday (11/28) in the East Bay Hills not far from Oakland, CA

The horses (in this case Andalusians and Aztecas - Stallions) are usually ridden by men and each "show off" their skills usually in time to music. With a Mariachi band in attendence the atmosphere is lively and enjoyable.

The event was to raise money for a Monastery in Mexico.

Technicals for those who like this sort of stuff:
Canon 1D, 70-200 f2.8, f3.2/320, ISO200, FL173mm
In PSCS, CWB, saturated, contrast increased, converted, sharpened and saved for the web and that's it!

If anyone is interested I added 9 more images to my Sport Shooter page here

If you'd like to see others that are not on SS please let me know!

Andrew :)

    Good rich tones there Andrew.

Lucky to get the shot without movement...would you mind sharing the settings ? Also what is that watermark prog ?

I used to have to plat my horses manes as a kid when i rode in dressage comps...always had to be an odd number..no idea why though.

Aah, but there's is just a little bit of movement in the forelock...

See above, they're under "the Technicals"

It isn't a watermark program, I simply hand title every image in PS

    I'll post another for you...
