So may be it's a sigh that we need to slow down, relax and reflect on thibrings our next topic: Reflections.

The goal is to shoot things reflected.

A pond, a pool, a puddle, a shiny car, a chrome casserole, or, kh-m, a mirror or store window - all those will do.

A polarizer definitely can be a great helper here.

For the rest of the basic rules and index please check out this sticky.

    Let's get reflected! :D

Better late than never? First photo is not an effect, it is a true reflection of a moonrise. The sun was setting behind me, which gave that beatifull color in the sky. Second image was a stump in a pond that just caught my eye.

    My first try at assignments...

I wish I would have paid attention more to what was around. It wasn't until I got home and uploaded that I saw the fire engine in the reflection. I wish I would have gotten just the engine. I was more worried about getting the kids (who were not complying). Oh well, just another lesson for me to pay attention to my surroundings :)

    Is the FireChief SKUM???
I was looking in the window of a fireboat house. I'm not sure if the nickname of that water cannon is SKUM or if that's just a clue to the "boss". ne_nau.gif

Anyway, I thought it was a pretty good reflection..

Old thread, but the photo is fresh! Seagull peering through window at a restuarant. Seems to be thinking "you gonna eat that?"

No sir I used nothing that shot is straight out of my Olympus E500, unless you are talking about using a circular polerizer, then yes I did use one!

No sir, I was talking about the shape of the reflector and the effect it provided...

Ok cool I assumed (and we all know how yo spell that, ass u me, Laughing.gif) that you were thinking it was all post processed and I am a stcickler about that. Other than my IR shots I do very little to NO post processing. If I can'y get out of the camera and maybe do a little contrast or sharping with Photoshop then I am not proud of the picture. That picture was very proud of beacuse it was straight out of the camera.

I have two - neither spectacular, so maybe I need to look into this polarizer thing? Insight appreciated to make a reflection in water as beautiful as ones I've seen earlier in the thread.

    THe obligatory bird shot:

A shot of the house :
