    suggestions
First it looks like you have dust on your sensor (top middle shots 2 & 4).

Beyond that, it looks like you've timed some nice shots, but your framing/cropping needs some work.

Shot 1 is framed too loose
Shot 2 should be a portrait orientation shot - as it is, you've cropped both the ball and the feet. Given what you've got, I would suggest leaving it landscape and cropping above the waist and cropping out the right hand dead space. In general, I'd suggest shooting football primarily in portrait orientation - people are more vertical than horizontal. Shooting in landscape gets you too many shots like #1 - lost feet, but a lot of dead space to right or left of the action.

Shot #3 needs much tighter crop - just the tackle and loose ball should be in the frame

Shot # 4 - crop tight on the defender and quarterback - so you're cutting out the offensive lineman and most of the ref.

Next, if you can, you need to shoot at wider apertures. your backgrounds are too in-focus so they distract from the action. Your images don't have the exif so I can't see what aperture you were shooting at but it's gotta be something like f8 or narrower. Open up as much as your lens will allow (I shoot football at 2.8).

Try some crops of these photos I think you'll see an imediate improvement.

The comment about vertical is interesting and makes sense. As an old QB I think of the game in a wider view. I'll work on it.
