Tested source for photo filters

I don't know if this is the right forum for this, but thought there may be some who would like to know of my experience.

After seeing a few others mentioning www.MaxSaver.net as a source for photo filters, I gave this site a try for several filters, P-filter holders and adaptor rings. I placed the online order on October 5th, using paypal. I received the order today. Everything was new, current specification, in unopened packages and the order was complete. They also included a lenspen at no charge.

Based upon this experience, this looks like a satisfactory source, if you don't mind a 15 day delivery from "off-shore". Advertised inventory seems to change from week to week, but they list B&W, Hoya and Kenko filters. Prices are very compelling.

    Cool. I'll keep them in mind the next time I need stuff (note to self, determine if there's ever a time when I don't need stuff!)

    Thanks for info, I was thinking about ordering from them as thier prices seem very good. It is a little slow delivery time but i generally know what lens Im going to buy before I can actually afford it, so I have time to order a protective filter before the lens arrives.

    I have gotten great prices and service from 2filter.com. And no 15-day wait, either.

    Tristan, that looks like a good site, also, but, for example, their price for a 72mm Hoya Pro1 Digital Circular Polorizer is $172 vs. $65 from MaxSaver.net. A 72mm Hoya Pro1 digital UV filter from 2filter.com is $73 vs. $28 from MaxSaver.net. For that kind of price difference I believe I can be patient for a few more days.

    I've now used them (maxsaver) a couple of times. I don't find the ship time all that bad considering it's mail from Hong Kong. ne_nau.gif It's been about 1 1/2 weeks for me.

    The prices beat the heck out of everyone else. Patience pays in this case.
