Stunning shots! The third has really nice colors. Was it stitched or one shot?

Thanks everyone! Actually the rainbow is a stitch but the 3rd one is not. The 3rd is with a 12-24 that I didn't have handy for the rainbow.

Thanks everyone....Maui really was spectacular. I'm already wanting to go back! :cry

Here's a crappy video from my little p&s cam of the rainbow...apparently they're common enough that the locals weren't all too impressed but I've never seen a full one before so I wasn't bored by it!wings.gif

These are great shots, Chuck, though the first two are my favorites. The one time I've been up Haleakala it was foggy... we got some very limited peek-a-boo views, but that's it.

I also enjoyed your Sea Turtle vid (haven't looked at the rainbow one yet). Swimming with them is a great experience... It's really nice that the conservation effort has had such a great effect.

Thanks...it's definitely hit/miss up at Haleakala. I actually rode to the top on my bicycle the following day and it seemed the conditions were radically different. Didn't make it for sunrise tho...I would've had to have been on my bike by 2am. :)

The turtle conservation work seems to definitely be working and that's great to see. It's WILD to see turtles resting on the beach in the afternoon...I had never seen that before!

Heh...I was having enough trouble swimming along with the fins in the rough water by the reef edge, let alone steadying the camera!

Thanks...here's a quick vid of the same rainbow. Must be nice to live someplace where rainbows setting on palm trees are boring. :)
