Some more shots from the hockey rink tonight.

90% of them were taken from the rink level, right behind the goal. Some of them were shot from above.

Thanks. Noiseware did alittle more then I wanted it to so I went back and ran them through again under a different setting.

So are these teams the hockey equivalent of farm clubs in baseball?

They are like the minor league for baseball is the best way to explain it

#5, just after the face-off is good. As is the last. You have faces and action
in both of them. Lighting/white balance is good too.

Do you have any wide shots? Shooting wide at the net will help catch a lot
of the action. Especially as the attacking player trys to poke the puck into
the net. Lots happens at the net. Especially after the whistle

In answer to fish's question, I went to the team website. I don't know if I'd
call it a farm team though I'm not sure. They seem to be playing in 5k seat
arenas and charging from $9-$19 a seat. Very family friendly pricing.
I bet it's fun hockey to watch.

I see another opportunity for some head shots for the team website.

Yea the photographer they used didn't do the best job, so they fired her. We are in talks now about me becomming the team photographer.

my nephew's a starting defenseman for the columbia sc team - you'll probably shoot them eventually... would love to see some shots of him...

those are the ones I really like. The action in those shots is very well captured!!! Nice crisp and clear images on the whole! Kudos on the shots!

he's actually owned by the ny rangers, but they want him to play on this team for a while. he's 22 - he should be in the nhl hopefully in a couple 2-3 years, gotta pay those dues ....

It's nice to see the young kids able to pursue a dream that less than
1% of all registered youth hockey players will ever realize.

yup. started at age 3months though

seriously, his dad played in canada as a pro. i've got two other neph's that are on hockey scholarships now. they're all really really good.
