I getting some pages, then try to go to another page and then get the cannot find server message. This over multiple sites. My sites and many other sites.

I tested my speed to the net and I got 4.86m download 482k upload.

From my experience (happened before) this is usually a internet issue somewhere in the midcontinent, anybody else getting this?
"A photo is like a hamburger. You can get one from McDonalds for $1, one from Chili's for $5, or one from Ruth's Chris for $15. You usually get what you pay for, but don't expect a Ruth's Chris burger at a McDonalds price, if you want that, go cook it yourself." - me

Hi, sorry you are having trouble- we'd like to help! Can you run a traceroute when it happens again, and post the results here? If you need instructions on that, just let me know, thanks.

The servers have not had any issues today, so your suspicion is probably right....

After I put this message in, it took me about 10 tries to get dgrin to come up. Something on the net is acting weird. I get many sites ok, some intermittent.

How to again? Tried searching for the link and after looking through about 3 threads about past issues couldn't find it.

    PC:

To run a traceroute on a PC, click on "Start". Then click on "run" and type in "command". That should bring up a black screen. When you get that, type in "tracert hera.smugmug.com". There should be a little 'c:\' in the upper left corner of that black screen, click on that. Then select "edit" and then select "mark". You will see a little gray box appear inside the black box at the top. Click on that and drag it to the bottom so that all the text is highlighted. Then click on the 'c:\' at the top again and click on "edit" then "copy". Paste here.

    MAC:
To run a traceroute on a Mac, open finder. Then open applications>utilities>network utility. Then click on the Traceroute tab. When that opens, type in hera.smugmug.com. Copy and paste the results.

Wow, www.dgrin.com is now unreachable as well. Last hop is the same as the smugmug trace below. I VPN'd to a different net to post this.

Woohoo, both sites are accessible again. Looks like it was a Global Exchange problem in LA, at least for me.

    Glad you are sorted!
