Just returned this morning from an eagles nest I've been observing and shooting photos of and this what I saw.

The female was on the nest

The male was in his usual position on guard
128415737-L.jpg

The female then flew over to a dead tree for awhile

128415734-L.jpg

After preening for a bit she flew off I guess to fine food

128416938-L.jpg

And the male took her position on the dead tree

All this consummed a lot of time ,well worth it, I was putting the gear away
and spotted the chick

What a day:ivar

Your profile says you shoot with a Nikon D70s...but what lens did you use on these?

Sweet series Jim. I still have not found any nests tis close. I saw one coming back from MI4..but it was probably 200 yards from the road. I didn't think I could out run the bull on the other side of the fence...to get to the nest for some shots. eek7.gif:D

    Keep 'em coming. thumb.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks Image Maker. Appreciate your coments. How do I tell a male from a female - by observation and intuition - and only an Eagle knows for sure. Just kidding. I can tell one from the other because one has a leg band - the one I think is the male rolleyes1.gif
