No problem here. Came up fast and complete. Sometimes this kind of thing happens. Your ISP may even have that site blocked, for some reason. If you continue to have problems accessing that site, I'd advise contacting your ISP.

Do you have a firewall? If so, turn it off and try it again. If you still can't access it then it's not the firewall. But if you can then your firewall is blocking it for some reason. Let me know.

Firefox can't find the server at www.shutterstock.com.

    * Check the address for typing errors such as
    ww.example.com instead of
    www.example.com
    * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
    connection.
    * If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Well the fact that it happens in both browsers tells me that it's not a browser setting that is causing the problem. So I now agree with Steve and Barb, contact your ISP and tell them all the things you've listed here so that they don't repeat these same suggestions.

While typing that another thought occured to me. Do you have a router and does it have a built in firewall? Probably not, so that takes you back to your ISP. Let us know what they tell you.

    can you ping it ?

goto the start menu > Run> type in "cmd" (without the quotes)> the type:

    ping www.shutterstock.com

    See what you get.

    Also try the following:
In the "run" menu, type "cmd"
At the command line, type "tracert www.shutterstock.com"
This will try to contact all of the computers and routers between your computer and www.shutterstock.com. This might help diagnose where the problem is.

    it works now!
Thanks for all your help I was going crazy with this problem and nothing was fixing the issues. And suddenly it stared to work fine today.
I did google on this problem and I found a lot of people with exactly the same issues “Unable to access ONE website” but no body had given a fix to it.
So I thought let me update this thread. Hope it doesn’t repeat!

Glad the 'problem' is fixed! Sounds like it was your ISP after all. :ivar
