Very interesting shot! What's he looking at? What's that in the background? What's the light hitting him from behind?

Hi Malte, thanks for stopping by.
You are looking to Asiké. He is a Dani man, with whom I've spent several day in Papua Barat. He is a beggar in Wamena; he had nothing to do so he came around with me. He is a very nice chap. Not a single word of English, quite few of Indonesian Basha, but we quite understood each other. In this shot he was looking at some caves we both never saw in the Kurulu area! The BG is a stalatitis 35 meters high, more or less.

Good stuff. Wow, 35 meters. I've heard they grow no more than one cm per 100 years. That would make it 350 000 years old.

    Hello,

Although I sure wish I could see what he is looking at, I think the beauty of your shot is that we do not know. You captured such an intriguing facial expression; he could be terrified, awestruck, confused, impressed, or some combination. Nice work!

    happy day,

    wren
