I'll never be a Lord V, but seeing enough of Brian's work, and learning from his technique, my reversed macro shots have come a long way. Seems this guy wasn't built for the bitter cold we've had lately.

    BTW, can you or anyone point me towards some reading regarding reversed lens macro? Kind of a lens reversing for dummies???

    Ahhhhhhhhhh yes the dead fly close-up, this is about the only way I can catch them up close too without them flying off.
    He died in a nice pose though, he looks like he is checking you out Doc :D
    You got the eyes real nice and sharp to, the lines are very visible.

    Now, for the record, I didn't do the freezing, you can thank mother nature for that.

    Tripod: yes. With the reversed lens, it's really hard to use flash, because you get that bright spot in the center due to the aperture being so close to the end of the glass.
