*** UPDATE - SOLD! ***

It hurts to sell this one, but the wife says I've got too much toys and we have too many bills to pay. This was one of my impulse buys recently that I just couldn't help myself.

I'm the second owner of this lens. I've rarely used it and so did the first owner. Before I took possesion of the lens, it was sent to Canon for a checkup, and it came out w/ a clean bill of health. The lens itself can pass as NEW...that's how MINT this baby is. EXTREMELY CLEAN front and rear elements. The hood has a few rub marks and it looks like a couple of small nicks (not cracks) on the edge of the hood (opposite to where it attaches to the lens). It comes with the Canon front & rear lens caps, Canon ES-79 lens hood, and I'll throw in a Tiffen 72mm SKY 1-A filter for more protection.

Asking price is $5000 or best offer. This price includes USPS Priority Mail shipping and insurance within the continental US. I can accept Paypal e-check or instant transfer w/o fees...I don't think I get dinged fees for this type of payment. Otherwise, please add 3% fees. If paying via credit card, add 3% and you must be an established Dgrin or FM user with a good reputation. I will ship only to a CONFIRMED address. Or you can pay me via check, but I will wait for the check to clear before shipping out the lens. Local pickup in Anaheim, CA during the week welcome (CASH PAYMENT)!

Please feel free to check my references here or in FM. I describe all the stuff I sell accurately.

I'm in the process of uploading RAW samples taken by the lens w/ my 5D at f1, f1.4, f1.8, f2.8, f4.0, f5.6, and f8 here (give it a couple of hours or so for the upload to complete): http://www.myitlab.com/deals/data/upimages/50mm1L/samples/

fyi -- PayPal fees determined by account type, not payment type

Just FYI for you (and the DGrin community), I found this out the hard way in the past -- whether the seller gets charged PayPal fees has nothing to do with the method by which the payment is made. It only depends on the type of the seller's PayPal account -- if it is a Premier or Business PayPal account (the type that can accept credit-card payment), then all payments to it will get dinged for PayPal fees, even if the payment is in one of the forms of non-credit "electronic cash".

The only way to be able to both accept credit cards (with fees) and other payments (without fees) is to keep two PayPal accounts, one for each payment type. To keep the one for cash payments fee-less, that PayPal acoount must be a "Personal" type, which does not accept credit-card payment. Then ask the buyer to send payment to the appropriate account.

I setup 2 paypal accounts...one that's personal...no fees whatsoever, doesn't matter the amount, as long as the payer sends me funds via existing paypal funds or bank transfer. My other account is premiere in which I can receive credit card payments but get dinged 3% (actually, 2.9%)...or can receive e-checks and only get dinged $5 flat rate fee.

C'mon peeps...make me an offer...who knows, I may just accept it. I'd like to sell it here than in ebay. Instead of paying for ebay fees, I'd rather give a discount to a buyer here. thumb.gif
