It looks to me to have a slight color cast to it. Color correction is not my strong poiimt so I will let someone else explain how to fix it if you agree, could be my monitor. (I need a new one but I have my eyes on a 17mm lense that is comming first)

    Jim,

The potential of this photo is huge IMO!! The composition is really good, I just love it. That dry patch under the tree... bowdown.gif this is definitely great!
Now for some finetuning. I would suggest to add contrast with a slight s-curve with the bottom more dropped than the top pushed. Then I would suggest introducing a partial shadow/highlight adjustment where the highlights are dropped around 40% on the bottom to get back a little detail.
I would really like to point out that the potential for this photo is very high IMO, it needs some extra tweaks, but the start is really there!
Keep us posted on the progress!!

it's a tad bluish, but I think that is a good thing. It looks very appealing because of the cast IMO ylsuper.gif

    Hi Karz,

This was a tough shot and you did ok with it. I see a few problems with it though. First portions of the shot are blown out and details are lost due to the overexposure especially in the lower left. The plants in the lower right are distracting and I would have cropped them or cloned them out. Also I don't get the sense of depth I should from the shot. Its like you have the tree in the foreground and then the background trees right behind it w/o much separation. I don't know if thats due to the dof you used or due to the composition.

But overall it was a real tough shot and I don't know if I could have done any better myself.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Ok how is this?
I played with the "curve" but add or subtracting anything for brightness or contrast kills it.
    Curve
    Input: 146
    Output: 122

If this is NG PLEASE explain in detail what to do in CS. (I'm still learning it)

Improved and cropped for 8x10 printing and selling.
    Also the "Curve" fix.

    Last fix for this
Ok here is the FINAL fix for this one!
After prior fix I didn't like the bluish tinge in it so I ran it threw PSP 8.1 Auto color fix (Since I dunno how to do that yet in PS CS).

**Slight purple cast will hafta stay! NO WAY to get rid of it without killing the photo! :cry

It's framed and matted....silver metal frame with a med blue matte! thumb.gif
    Ready to sell!!
