We were over at my parents' house last night for dinner and she had asked me to bring my photo gear. This plant was about half the height and flower-less around Christmas time and now look at it. It's about 30" tall. How does this shot look? I used a black felt backdrop - best I could do on short notice. What else do you guys use for black backdrops that won't reflect light?

    Black velvet works nicely too.

This is a nice simple and elegant photo. The black background accentuates
    the beauty of the flower.

The left side of the flower looks a little over exposed. A little less light might
also help highlight the yellows in the stamine (sp?).
