Minnesota side. Grimace, Dave V & I went together and had a great time. We figured this was the last weekend before the icebergs melted.

Swartzy, I think they are all great shots. We don't get many shots like this in Florida. I think I'll stay with the 80 degree weather. I'll depend on you guys to share these great winter scenesclap.gif . Thanks!

Lovely series, the frozen pebbles are fantastic, we don't get real winters in Southern England anymore so it's great to see some cold weather.

Wonderful images, Swartzy. I know exactly where you were standing in the first few.

Hi DaveV! Been a long time...

Great thing about the North Shore is that it is ripe any time of the year. It's never ugly.

I especially like the rocks frozen in water shot... but maybe just kick up th contrast/color a bit?

I did in fact kick up the contrast on that shot and removed the slight darkened vinette (sp?) entering it in the contest. Was messing with that shot in PS for a bit, then looked too long at it rolleyes1.gif. Thanks for the kind words....and yea...it certainly is an awesome area....waiting for Spring and going back up for cascade and waterfall shots....whooohooooo!

Yea, get up there....hard to go wrong with so much to shoot. We saw over 300 deer that day up and down Hwy 61. Mostly at dusk...high ISO, etc. Thanks for stopping by!

Sorry for the frames. I've been trying to keep continuity for the galleries...I know some don't like to view the shots with any frames and some don't mind. I've been looking for a different one to use or create that's elegant but not distracting. I like these for wildlife shots though..they seem to work well. I promise when I post people shots I won't use them rolleyes1.gif

Thanks for the kind words. Yea, with weather patterns this past decade, it's not like it used to be...even here in the northland. We only had a couple weeks of zero or below this year...unheard of for Minnesota.
