No idea. I got home from work and all the commotion was a block away from my house. I practically had to bribe the cop to let me drive the 20' past his roadblock to get to my side street and driveway. :D The fire was completely under control by the time I started shooting and they were just cleaning up at that point.

The only real story I have is walking back up to the scene from my house. Police were keeping everyone with point and shoot cameras behind the police tape and, as I walked up wearing my vest carrying my Canon with battery grip, the officer just pointed at me and lifted the tape. Quote of the evening from said officer: "isn't that lens kind of small?" rolleyes1.gif

Here's the TAC9 paging system report:

Good journalistic shots. You should have jokingly told the officer something to the effect of "It's not the size that matters...."

Thanks muchly! Haverhill seems to be a haven for fires. I've got a half dozen other fire shoots I need to put up. :D I'd say that I always seem to be in the right place at the right time but I don't think it could be considered the right time for the property owner... :cry
